Black Bear Trail Bridge – Flathead National Forest

Rehabilitation of a cable suspension trail bridge over the South Fork of the Flathead River on the Flathead National Forest. Improvements to approaches, repair of the existing concrete pedestals, corrosion protection on the steel cables, replacement of miscellaneous timber deck members and replacement of timber tower members. All tower materials and supplies had to be packed in 14 miles to the job site by mule train.

Stormwater Pretreatment Retrofit Project – Missoula, MT

This project consisted of the installation of a hydrodynamic separation device (HDS) to pretreat stormwater before it flows into the Clark Fork River. Battle Ridge Builders had to have shoring engineered and constructed in house to excavate 24 feet below grade in an established park. During excavation and placement of the HDS device the storm drain had to be rerouted while remaining in service. As an additive alternate Battle Ridge was also contracted to install a new loading zone which included demolition, new curb and gutter and asphalt patching.

Wastewater Effluent Clarifier Rehabilitation – Bozeman, MT

This project was to rehabilitate the existing effluent clarifier system at the Bozeman Fish Technology Center. Repairing and upgrading the system comprised of demolishing and removing the components of the existing lamella clarifier, surface preparation of sediment basin walls and floors with a protective coating. New catwalks and handrails were fabricated in house and added to the top of the sedimentation basins. The existing piping and electrical were demolished and new piping and electrical were installed, a new auger screen was provided and installed to filter effluent leaving the sedimentation basins.

Construction of a new 85-ft single span precast prestressed bulb-tee bridge over Cut Bank Creek, with an abutment foundation of cast-in-place concrete cap, backwall and wing walls supported on driven steel piles. Remove and disposal of existing bridge, installation of detour bridge, substructure & superstructure construction, bridge railings and riprap placement.
